Overview

Logistics done differently We\u2019re currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor for our site in East Leake (near Leicester). For our contract with British Gypsum, we\u2019re looking for someone to lead our busy operation, ensuring the daily transport plan is executed safely, legally and on time. You\u2019ll work Monday to Friday on the 2pm to 10pm shift and take responsibility for 50 tractor units and 250 trailers across sites.

What you\u2019ll do

• Managing a team of up to 70 drivers across shifts
• Managing a site services team of up to 15 per shift
• Manage and oversee the operation
• Daily interaction with the management team for our customer
• Overseeing the execution of the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site, keeping the customer updated
• Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate in a safe and efficient environment
• Timely and accurate investigations into Safety incidents
• Provide leadership and guidance for the team and provide accurate KPIs internally and to the customer

What you need to succeed

• Experience in a fast-paced environment - no two days will be the same and you need to think on your feet
• H&S qualifications will be highly desirable
