About The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, who have won numerous awards for Operational, Business and H&S excellence over the last two years. We are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to join our depot in Scotland (Lanark). The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence.

The Transport Supervisor will work full time, with usual hours between 14:30 - 22:00. Candidates must be flexible to accommodate any issues that may arise.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist our transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function
• Ensure that the Home Delivery / Trunking operation runs as smoothly as possible
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements
• Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required
• Assist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries
• Ensure drivers are managed correctly to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using the company recognised processes to ensure full compliance
• Thoroughly investigate any incidents, accidents, and near misses when required
• Assist the training team with onboarding new drivers
• Support the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers
