Transport Supervisor Nightshift Milk Operations

  • Shift: Nightshift (Sunday to Thursday) 10-hour shifts
  • Department: Milk Operations
  • Salary: £34,000 - £39,000 per annum based on experience
Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics and operational excellence?

We're looking for a Nightshift Supervisor to oversee our milk operations during the night, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant delivery performance that exceeds customer expectations.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and supervise the nightshift driving team, ensuring clear communication and smooth shift transitions.
  • Oversee start times, load accuracy, and shift coverage to meet delivery and collection schedules.
  • Adapt plans in real-time to meet customer demands while maintaining profitability.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and customer-required data daily.
  • Ensure service levels are met in collaboration with other departments.
  • Optimise resources while ensuring compliance with WTD and driver hours legislation.
  • Maintain legal compliance for vehicle roadworthiness (defects, services, MOTs).
  • Conduct return-to-work meetings, investigations, briefings, and disciplinaries.
  • Log and report all accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
  • Foster a positive team culture, addressing driver concerns and communicating operational updates.
  • Manage driver holidays and ensure adequate shift coverage.
