Transport Supervisor - Tewkesbury

We are looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor - £30,000 pa - Tewkesbury, to assist the Site Operations Manager with the smooth running of the Tewkesbury cross dock centre.

Working hours: 40 hours per week. Shifts between 5am and 10pm, 5 days out of 7.

The Role

The role involves supporting the Site Operations Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the Tewkesbury cross dock centre. Previous experience in home delivery and working within a transport office is required, with warehouse experience preferred.

Daily Responsibilities

• Support a safe and legally compliant Cross Dock and Transport operation.
• Ensure adherence to processes within the warehouse and transport, on site and on the road.
• Support operations, fleet, equipment, and resource planning to meet demand.
• Lead by example, embodying the company’s values and communicating effectively.
• Focus on customer service, managing team performance to improve NPS.
• Provide innovative solutions for continuous performance improvement.
• Coach and mentor team members, developing talent and succession plans.
• Collaborate with the Site Operations Manager to identify efficiencies and implement best practices.
• Assist in setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
• Organise maintenance of MHE and vehicles in line with legal requirements.
• Manage driver hours in compliance with working time legislation.

Skills Needed
