Ready for a change? Looking for a role you can develop into? Join an exciting, brand-new contract site as it grows. We are seeking a Transport Supervisor based at our customer site in Stoke. You will oversee the timely and safe dispatch of drivers in a busy transport operation, working Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm.

Pay, benefits, and more:

Salary up to £33,000 per annum. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with options to buy additional days. Access high street discounts, a salary sacrifice car scheme, cycle to work scheme, workplace pension, and other perks.

Typical daily responsibilities:

  • Support the Transport Team Manager in daily duties
  • Manage Core Fleet Drivers & Subcontract Haulier drivers
  • Deputise for the Transport Team Manager as needed
  • Ensure quality control of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Maintain relationships with colleagues across XPO and other depots
  • Identify training needs and communicate to the Transport Team Manager
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures and processes by operators
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Participate in relevant training for personal development
  • Coordinate with Fleet Administrator for vehicle inspections, servicing, and MOTs
  • Maintain fleet standards and address defects
  • Keep tachograph records up to date
  • Respond to personal and road traffic accidents

Requirements for success:

  • Experience in transport/logistics
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • CPC qualification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of driver hours regulations
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements
