Wren Kitchens Limited is seeking a Transport Supervisor to manage the Stansted Depot and cover the Transport Manager in their absence. This full-time role involves varied hours during peak season and proactive supervision of the transport team.

You will support the management team to ensure efficient trunking, vehicle compliance, andDriver hours compliance, while assisting with driver training and recruitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport office handling multi-drop deliveries.
• Minimum 1 year of team leadership/management in transport or logistics.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
• Solid knowledge of driver hours regulations and working time rules.
• Solid knowledge of driver compliance requirements.
• IOSH and First Aid certificates are desirable.
• LGV licence and CPC card held.

Responsabilités

• Assist transport management in smooth operation of the transport function.
• Ensure trunking operations run smoothly in the evening.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements.
• Assist drivers with tasks in the transport yard as needed.
• Assist with boxing vehicles for deliveries.
• Manage drivers to stay within hours and regulations using approved processes.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses as required.
• Assist training team with adding new drivers to the transport department.
• Support recruitment of new drivers alongside the Transport Manager.

Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to join our Stansted Depot. The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, who have won numerous awards for Operational, Business and H&S excellence over the last two years. The Transport Supervisor will work full time, with varied hours and days in peak season. You will be given notice prior to peak periods.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist our transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function
• Ensure that the trunking operation runs as smoothly as possible throughout the evening
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements
• Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required
• Assist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries
• Ensure drivers are managed correctly to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using the company recognised processes to manage full compliance
• Thoroughly investigate any incidents, accidents and near misses when required
• Assist the training team with the addition of new drivers to the transport department
• Support the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Experienced working within a transport office for multi drop deliveries
• Minimum of 1 years team leader / management experience within a transport or logistics office
• Strong IT skills - in particular Excel
• Strong knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
• Strong knowledge of driver compliance
• IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate
• LGV Licence and CPC Card
