Transport Supervisor

The Role

1. To ensure Health & Safety, Environmental and Legal Compliance procedures are followed.
2. Operating a fleet of vehicles from 3 locations over 7 days and 7 nights per week.
3. Sourcing additional loads from third parties.
4. Managing the activities and resources to achieve financial, operational and customer service objectives.
5. To ensure equipment is operational and relevant checks are carried out and maintained, addressing any issues where necessary.
6. Planning of loads, allocation of drivers and quoting for work.
7. Booking and Managing the restitution of containers.

Requirements

1. Customer focused.
2. Compliance and Tachograph knowledge.
3. Proven experience within a fast paced logistics environment.
4. Ability to communicate at all levels.
5. Proactive decision maker and an organised/effective planner.
6. Be able to build a network of allies and subcontractors.
7. Have a can-do attitude.
8. Be able to remain calm when working under pressure.
9. PC and TMS systems literate.
10. Own transport required owing to location.

Other

Working hours: Sunday - Wednesday from 7am - 7pm. Own transport essential.
