A local children's service is seeking a Social Care Assistant to support looked after children during transportation. The role requires manual driving skills and an understanding of children's needs. Working hours are during term time, approximately 7am to 10am and 2.30pm to 4.30pm. An enhanced DBS and full driving licence are required.

MANUAL DRIVING REQUIRED/COMFORTABLE ON MOTORWAY

Term time

The staff should be available to either drive the child/ren or act as a personal assistant to support the child/ren on their journey.

The working times would be approximately between 7am and 10am each morning and between 2.30pm - 4.30pm on afternoons.

The applicants should be: Social care assistant level, have an enhanced DBS and full driving licence, and have some understanding of the needs of looked after children and experience of working with looked after children.
