About the Role

To maintain passenger comfort while providing transport to and from Special Educational Schools and Day Centres. Providing care and responsive support while driving passengers with physical, mental, and/or developmental disabilities.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to ensure the vehicle is fit for the route and complies with maintenance schedules, including completing daily checks and operating the tail lift correctly. Properly securing all wheelchairs in accordance with training.
  • Ability to liaise with Passenger Assistants, parents/carers, and other professionals, reporting issues promptly.
  • Adherence to infection control protocols to prevent infection spread.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence with a D1 category (or category D).
  • This role involves manual handling, such as pushing wheelchairs, supporting ambulant passengers, and securing wheelchairs on the vehicle.

A DBS enhanced check is required for this position.
