Job summary

Glasgow City Council and Arms Length Organisation is seeking a Technician to join the Transport Projects Delivery team within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability. You will plan, design and deliver parking controls, traffic management and transport infrastructure improvements across the city, in line with the Council’s Strategic Plan.

The role requires a minimum of an HNC/HND/Degree in engineering, strong communication and IT skills, a current UK driving licence and proficiency in 2D

Qualifications

• A minimum of an HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Good communication skills and proficient IT skills.
• A current UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver parking controls, traffic management and transport infrastructure improvement schemes across the city.
• Report to the Group Manager - Transport Projects Delivery.
• Work within the Council’s Strategic Plan and comply with statutory processes for Traffic Regulation Orders.
