Job summary

Glasgow City Council is seeking a Technician in the Transport Projects Delivery team to plan, design and deliver parking controls, traffic management and transport infrastructure improvements. Hybrid working is available; a driving licence and relevant engineering qualification are essential.

Experience in Roads, Parking and Traffic environments is preferred, and an AutoCAD test will form part of the interview process.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND/Degree in engineering or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Proficient IT skills
• Current UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver parking controls, traffic management and transport infrastructure improvement schemes across the city
• Support delivery in accordance with the Council's Strategic Plan
• Work within the statutory processes for Traffic Regulation Orders
• Assist with the approvals and implementation of highway projects
