Transport Planning Supervisor

Huddersfield

GBP35,000 - GBP38,000 per annum

Monday Friday, Days - 37.5 Hours per week

I m currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planning Supervisor to join a leading Fuel distributor who specialise within UK wide commercial petrochemical distribution.

The Candidate;

  • Proven experience in transport planning leadership position
  • ADR / Tanker route planning experience is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of EU Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Leadership capabilities with a talent for coaching and motivating teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Oversee and review daily driver plans to maximise legal shift availability and resource use.
  • Investigate and report on customer service issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for bitumen, emulsion, and fuel oil clients, ensuring prompt resolution of delivery concerns.
  • Monitor team performance, conduct annual reviews, and support ongoing development and coverage for holidays and absences.
