  • Source 3rd Party Work and increase backhaul revenue.
  • Publish Daily KPIs / Daily Stats.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are exceeded.

Job Description

Our Telford site is now recruiting for a Transport Planning Supervisor to join their friendly team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

Working hours: 4 days on, 4 days off, 6:30 am - 6:30 pm.

As a Transport Planning Supervisor, you will support the delivery of the Transport Budget with respect to own Fleet Usage and Haulier spend. The role will support the Transport Function in optimizing and providing the most cost-effective transport solutions to the business.

Key Duties of a Transport Planning Supervisor:
  • Review the daily Transport Plan to drive efficiencies.
  • Ensure sufficient staff are on shift each day, and Payroll / Annual Leave are covered / completed on Horizon.
  • Source 3rd Party Work and increase backhaul revenue.
  • Publish Daily KPIs / Daily Stats to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are exceeded.
  • Carry out any additional work requested by the Transport Planning Manager.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Transport Planning in a radial and direct delivery environment, including Inter Depot Trunk or Cross Docking movements.
  • Knowledge of Transport Management Systems is essential.
  • Team player capable of developing internal and external relationships.
  • Experience in reporting within a cost / KPI-driven operational environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Ability to work on own initiative without direct supervision.
  • Computer literacy, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
