We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Planning Officer to programme manage the coordination and delivery of public transport and other mitigation measures funded through Section 106 agreements in connection with airport expansion. This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile project with regional significance to ensure that developer contributions are effectively translated into sustainable transport improvements.
The role will sit within our Strategic Transport Planning Team. The Team is responsible for the development and review of the council’s transport policies and strategies alongside formulating action plans and programmes to ensure they are delivered. The team works at all levels including with senior officers and members as well as regional and national partners.
The post is career graded as set out below and ideally we are looking to appoint someone with qualifications and experience suitable for levels 7-8:
