SLR Consulting seeks an experienced Transport Planning Team Lead in Manchester to lead and grow the Manchester Transport Planning team, working with Directors and the national leadership to expand the practice. The role combines leadership, client management and technical excellence across development and infrastructure projects.

The role includes recruiting, mentoring, and delivering expert transport planning advice, managing budgets and fee proposals, and promoting health and safety across

Qualifikationen

• Commercially minded transport planning professional with strong leadership skills.
• Proven track record of winning work and developing successful teams.
• Extensive experience delivering transport planning projects within the development industry.
• Strong business development and work-winning capability.
• Excellent client contacts, particularly within the private sector.
• Experience managing project and team budgets.
• Experience across a range of land-use development sectors.
• Public sector and/or Development Consent Order (DCO) experience (desirable).

Aufgaben

• Lead and grow the Manchester Transport Planning team.
• Work with the national leadership to implement business growth strategies.
• Generate new business opportunities from existing and prospective clients.
• Develop and manage key client relationships.
• Recruit, mentor and support the development of team members.
• Provide expert transport planning advice across a variety of development sectors.
• Manage and deliver complex development projects from feasibility through to planning consent.
• Support local plan promotions, planning applications, appeals and public inquiries where required.
• Prepare and negotiate fee proposals and oversee project finances.
• Promote a strong culture of health, safety and wellbeing.
• Raise awareness of CDM responsibilities and best practice.
• Keep abreast of planning, policy, legal and transport sector developments.
• Identify opportunities to add value to projects through innovation and technical excellence.
