Job summary

SLR Consulting in Manchester is seeking an experienced Transport Planning Team Lead to guide and grow our transport planning capability in the North of England, delivering complex projects from feasibility through to consent.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, build strong client relationships and work with the national leadership to implement growth strategies, while upholding a culture of health and safety. Flexible, hybrid working and a supportive career framework are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Manchester Transport Planning team.
• Implement business growth strategies with national leadership.
• Generate new business opportunities from clients.
• Develop and manage key client relationships.
• Recruit, mentor and develop team members.
• Provide expert transport planning advice across sectors.
• Manage projects from feasibility to planning consent.
• Support local plan promotions, planning applications and inquiries.
• Prepare fee proposals and oversee project finances.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing.
