Job summary

A UK-based consultancy is expanding its Transport Planning team and is seeking an experienced Transport Planner/Senior Transport Planner. Overview

Following an increase in workload, our client is expanding the Transport Planning team and seeking ambitious and experienced transport professionals to help grow the team. They are looking for a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner who will have the opportunity to play a key role in the team by using their technical expertise and experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse traffic data, collate and interpret information.
• Prepare Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
• Use transport modelling software (ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, TRICS) and AutoCAD / AutoTrack; interpret modelling results.
• Contribute to transport scheme design and appraisal with knowledge of relevant policy, guidance and advice including DMRB and MfS.
• Communicate complex issues clearly in written and verbal form.

Qualifications/Experience

• Solid understanding of traffic engineering first principles with demonstrable experience.
• Experience in preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
• Experience with modelling software such as ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, TRICS; familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoTrack.
• Ability to interpret transport model results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
