Job Description:
Temp Station are excited to announce we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our client’s team, an international freight forwarding company, as a Transport Planner based in Normanton, West Yorkshire.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning daily radial vehicle routes efficiently.
- Subcontracting C&D’s outside the area in the most effective way.
- Monitoring driver locations via trackers and phone.
- Handling enquiries from UK & overseas colleagues, subcontractors, and drivers promptly.
- Booking trailers onto ferries.
- Managing trailer allocations.
- Processing internal and external invoices.
- Administering trailer hire arrangements.
- Booking vehicles daily with suppliers.
- Providing up-to-date job lists for drivers.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Adhering to CSR policies and procedures relevant to the role.
Additional responsibilities:
- Managing drivers and equipment to ensure timely collections and deliveries across the UK.
Educational background:
- GCSEs in Maths and English.
Technical skills and competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a similar environment preferred.
- Knowledge of the UK road network and geography.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak times.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Aspiring to progress within the company.

What we offer:
- Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience.
