More About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join the Transport Team at our Willow Green (Bridgwater) Distribution Centre. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for producing individual Driver schedules that implement the overall Transport plan for the Willow Green (Bridgwater) operation.

Here at Morrisons, our Transport Planners do the following:

• Ensure all deliveries and collections align with planned requirements.
• Provide problem-solving guidance on operational issues such as late plan changes and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Plan and manage resources to deliver a cost-effective delivery service.
• Create individual plans for drivers within the overall plan.
• Analyze plans against actual schedules to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain compliance with safe working practices and working time regulations.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Complete all records and reports, highlighting inaccuracies, issues, or complaints.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Organize shunters and ensure vehicle and trailer availability when needed.

About You

To be successful, you should have excellent communication and analytical skills, with experience in producing reports. Experience in planning a large, successful transport operation and familiarity with planning systems like Paragon would be advantageous. You must be a strong influencer capable of credible, impactful interventions, working to motivate and direct others.
