Key Responsibilities:

• Develop optimal transportation routes considering distance, time, cost, and mode of transport.
• Choose appropriate carriers and logistics providers based on capacity, reliability, cost, and service agreements.
• Coordinate multiple shipments into full truckloads or container loads to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Plan and schedule transportation movements, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
• Use tracking systems to monitor shipments in transit and communicate updates with carriers.
• Ensure all transport documentation and reports are accurate, meeting legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential savings and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
• Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and effective communication.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive operational excellence.
• Provide guidance on transport operations, ensuring staff meet key objectives and follow best practices.
• Adhere to all agreed operational and statutory requirements to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

• Prior experience in transport planning and logistics operations is essential.
• Air & Road Logistics Knowledge - Strong understanding of freight, cargo handling, and transport regulations.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and transport management systems to input and manage data effectively.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal) to engage effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• ADR & Hazardous Awareness Training (Cargo Op / Level D) is advantageous.
• Driving & Forklift License preferred (Training available if needed).
• Professional Presentation: Front-facing role requiring a professional and approachable manner.
• Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational demands.
