Job description

Overview

Our client based in Stanford Le Hope are seeking a Transport Planner to join their fast growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, has a good head for logistics, and enjoys problem-solving on the go.

The working hours for this position are: Monday to Friday, 5:30PM to 11:00PM on a part time basis or Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 11:00PM on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Management and planning daily distribution requirements for a fleet of HGVs and vans
• Efficient control and allocation of resources and ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to
• Utilise drivers, vehicles, trailers and sub-contractors to collect and deliver all loads against specified collection and booking times, with effective driver de-brief
• Ensuring that their internal monitoring & tracking systems are organised and updated
• Understanding and achieving key performance targets relating to the safety and efficiency of fleet (including utilisation and costing)
• Constantly communicate with Customer Service teams and Drivers to ensure customer KPI's and targets are achieved and maintained
• Ensure compliance and health & safety in-line with the regulatory framework
