Transport Planner - Development Planning | Southampton

Are you ready to take your Transport Planner career to the next level? As a Transport Planner in the development planning team, you will play a key role in delivering technical assessments and transport strategies. You will be working on transport assessments, travel plans, junction modelling and accessibility studies to support planning applications. You will liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders, providing professional advice and contributing to sustainable, practical transport solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical assessments and transport strategies for planning applications.
  • Work on transport assessments, travel plans, junction modelling (e.g., ARCADY, PICADY) and accessibility studies.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders, providing professional advice and contributing to sustainable transport solutions.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in development planning and transport consultancy.
  • Strong technical skills in transport modelling and analysis software such as Junctions (PICADY/ARCADY), LinSig or TRICS.
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports to support planning submissions.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with clients, local authorities and colleagues.
  • A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or similar.
