Transport Planner

We are currently recruiting for an individual with experience in transport planning, based at our offices in Treforest. This role is office-based, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for all sales and distribution queries, responsible for the efficient delivery of products from our Quarries and Plants across the region.
• Handle inbound calls and emails from customers and process orders.
• Communicate effectively with Logistics, Commercial, and Production teams.
• Proactively track orders through to completion.
• Address enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Maintain a database of customer information.
• Work as part of a team to achieve Key Performance Indicator targets.
• Maintain high levels of professionalism in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Ensure full compliance with the Competition Act 1998.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Knowledge of the Construction & Transport industries (not essential).
• Experience in transport planning with knowledge of road haulage.
• A hardworking approach with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines, anticipate problems, and identify solutions.
• Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and good computer skills.
