Job Description
My client is a leading UK logistics company, specialising in next-day and same-day delivery of air and sea freight, and the distribution of heavy and dangerous consignments within the UK. They are currently looking for a transport planner for their Manchester depot to assist in organising, directing, and coordinating the activities of all drivers, and the resources necessary for the safe, efficient, and economic movement of freight through their distribution system. This role involves working with the transport and warehouse teams, providing efficient management of the depot.
Position Overview
To effectively plan, direct and coordinate the activities of all Drivers and the resources necessary for the activities of PAYE Drivers, Independent Service Providers (ISP's), and Agency Drivers for the safe, efficient and economic movement of freight through the company's distribution system. All planning will be completed using the in-house system for same-day movements.

Salary Range: £30k to £32k
Monday - Friday
04:00am - 14:00pm, including a 1-hour unpaid break.
Contractual 45 hours a week.
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
4 weeks (after probation).
Auto enrolment pension.
