Job description

Position: Transport Planner

Schedule: Any 5 days out of 7 (37.5 hrs per week), 6am – 2pm

Type: Temporary ongoing contract

Hourly Rate: £15.30

Location: Lutterworth - Magna Park

Role Overview

Our client seeks an experienced transport planner for a fast-paced, office-based role. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. The primary responsibility is to maximize efficiency, service, and compliance by managing daily regional plans, focusing on load planning from hub to store.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Depot to store transport load building, routing, and scheduling
  2. Providing statistical information to support planning and implementation
  3. Reviewing and improving plans for efficiency
  4. Communicating plans effectively to stores and sites, including feedback channels
  5. Coaching depot teams to maximize service and meet commercial targets
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with transport management systems
  • Experience in a transport environment
  • Knowledge of transport/driver hours and regulations
