Overview

Container Transport Planner — Location: Liverpool. Salary: GBP28,000 - GBP34,000 (DOE). Hours: 35-hour basic week rotating shifts (6am-1pm/12-7pm). Benefits: 23 days annual leave + bank holidays.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner / Container Planner to join a well-established logistics operation based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day container planning and contribute to a busy and fast-paced team.

This role would suit an experienced Transport Planner; however the company will also consider a Transport administrator who also has some experience within container transport planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning container transport movements efficiently and in line with customer requirements.
• Coordinating with hauliers, ports, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
• Managing container bookings, collections, and deliveries using Fargo TOPS.
• Monitoring KPIs, handling any operational issues proactively.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
• Good geographical knowledge of the local areas planning across Liverpool and Manchester.

Key Requirements

• Essential: Experience using planning software for container planning (ideally Fargo TOPS).
• Previous experience in a container transport role for a UK-based haulier.
• A thorough understanding of driver hours and WTD.
• Good geographical knowledge.
