Transport Planner – 2 Years Experience Required - Aintree – Permanent Role

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 0800am/1000am – 1700pm/1900pm

Silver Arrow require a Transport Planner to work for a General Haulage Transport Company based in the Aintree area.

Your Role:

1. Plan efficient and cost-effective routes considering factors like traffic, distances, and vehicle capacity.
2. Must have previous experience of day-to-day operations planning routes/drivers.
3. Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
4. Communicate with drivers, providing route instructions, addressing issues, and ensuring timely and safe transportation.
5. Seeking ways to minimise transportation costs by optimising routes and load utilisation.
6. Liaise with internal teams and external customers to provide accurate updates on delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise.
7. Completing all details and planning in system.

What we need from you:

1. Previous experience in a general haulage transport planning role (2+ years).
2. Excellent communication and IT skills.
3. Excellent customer service standards.
4. Good knowledge of driving hours/breaks required.
5. Be able to adapt to change within a busy working transport office & prioritise workloads.
6. Ability to commute to Liverpool.
