Job summary

Brook Street Recruitment, on behalf of our client in Lisburn, is seeking a Transport Planner to join the growing team. The role focuses on organizing deliveries, coordinating drivers, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective operations.

You will work closely with Customer Services and Sales, manage inquiries across channels, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding the company's values and delivering excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar logistics role.
• Strong understanding of transport-related IT systems.
• Good knowledge of NI, GB and the Republic of Ireland.
• Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify and drive operational improvements.
• Strong communication skills across all business levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Schedule and assign work to drivers, confirming delivery and booking dates.
• Ensure customer delivery requirements are met and service levels maintained.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Produce delivery schedules, reports, and operational documentation.
• Liaise with Customer Services and Sales teams to manage delivery expectations and resolve issues proactively.
• Manage workload effectively while handling customer enquiries across multiple communication channels.
• Maintain accurate records and provide information as required.
• Meet performance targets, deadlines, and service standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
• Uphold company values and deliver excellent customer care at all times.

• Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and the Republic of Ireland.
• Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify and drive operational improvements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all business levels.
• Able to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm.
