Transport Planner – 1 Year Experience Required - Leigh – Permanent Role.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience.

Monday to Friday, 1000am – 1900pm.

Silver Arrow require an experienced Transport Planner to work for a logistics company based in the Leigh area.



Your Role:

* Plan vehicle routes coordinating the efficient movement of palletised freight across a network of depots and delivery points.

* Liaising with partner depots in the pallet network to coordinate collections and deliveries.
* Communicating with drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
* Handling admin duties, including updating transport management systems and maintaining compliance records including driver hours and health & safety.



What we need from you:

* Previous transport planning experience – minimum 1 year.
* Knowledge of UK road transport regulations and pallet network operations.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Familiarity with transport planning software and logistics platforms.
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing delivery schedules.
* Knowledge of Knowledge of driver compliance and legislation.

* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Strong customer service skills.
