Job DescriptionTransport Planner - Join Our Team in Knowsley

Are you an experienced Transport Planner with an understanding of compliance, container work, and general haulage operations?


We're looking for a highly organized and proactive Transport Planner to join a dynamic transport team in knowsley.


Hours & Pay



  • £33,000 - £35,000 per year

  • Tuesday to Saturday Day Shifts


Job Role


  • Coordinating the daily operations of a busy transport office

  • Ensuring full compliance with driver's hours and WTD

  • Planning efficient container logistics and maximizing backload opportunities

  • Managing general haulage operations for timely and cost-effective deliveries

  • Acting as a key contact for drivers and customers, resolving any transport issues promptly

  • Maintaining accurate records and reports on transport activities

  • Promoting and upholding health & safety standards at all times


Skills & Experience:


  • Strong knowledge of driver regulations (including WTD)

  • Background in container transport and general haulage would be an advantage

  • Understanding of European operations would be an advantage but not essential

  • Proven ability to optimize transport routes and reduce empty miles

  • Excellent communicator and confident decision-maker

  • Skilled in using transport management systems and IT tools

  • A CPC qualification is desirable but not essential
