We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Paragon Planner to be based at our site in Gotham on our SGIS contract. This role involves working within a busy transport operation, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re offering a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. Benefits include 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), with options to buy additional days, access to high street discounts, a salary sacrifice car scheme, cycle to work scheme, workplace pension, and other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Plan all shipments for our customers within the timeframes set by the SLA.
• Plan XPO core fleet resources across all sites using TMS and Paragon software.
• Coordinate subcontractor planning, ensuring jobs are allocated correctly and confirmed with haulier partners.
• Represent the Planning Team in daily operations calls.
• Update the Customer Services team with accurate information regarding 'at risk' or 'failed' loads.
• Ensure all collections are scheduled and updated.
• Proactively plan urgent orders and communicate delivery dates to customers.
• Notify customers promptly of any schedule changes or failed orders, including reasons, and re-plan as needed.
• Allocate all core fleet to meet or exceed daily utilization targets.
• Immediately escalate any non-conformance to the supervisor.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in transport, with a good understanding of compliance and driver hours, is beneficial.
