An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join an established company with a fleet of over 100 vehicles. Based at their head office, the role presents the opportunity to work within a strong and dedicated team, gaining the skills and experience required to successfully operate day-to-day transport operations.
Effective management and planning of drivers, through ongoing communication and using our TMS software. Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers); ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU Drivers’ Hours regulations). To ensure the daily plan is completed in real time by managing resources effectively, maximising utilisation. Control and execution of in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency. Ensure fleet compliance is maintained at all times. Ensure all drivers' administration / management is in line with regulations. Understanding and achieving key performance targets relating to the safety and efficiency of our fleet (including utilisation and costing). Constantly communicate with our Customers & Drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained.
A salary of between £30,000 and £33,000. This is a Monday-Friday position working from 08:00-18:00. Excellent working conditions and a contributory pension scheme.
