More About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join the Transport Team at our Latimer Logistics Site. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for producing individual driver schedules that implement the overall transport plan for the Wakefield operation.

Here at Morrisons, our Transport Planners do the following:

• Ensure all deliveries and collections align with planned requirements.
• Provide problem-solving guidance on operational issues such as late changes to plans and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Plan and manage resources to deliver a cost-effective delivery service.
• Produce individual plans for drivers within an overall plan.
• Analyze the plan against actual schedules to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain compliance with safe working practices and working time regulations.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Complete all associated records and reports, highlighting any inaccuracies, issues, or complaints.
• Proactively identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
• Organize shunters and ensure vehicles and trailers are available when needed.

About You

To be successful, you should have excellent communication and analytical skills and experience producing reports. Experience in planning a large and successful transport operation, along with an understanding of planning system Paragon, would be advantageous. Applicants must be strong influencers capable of credible, impactful interventions, and able to work to direct or motivate others.
