Our well-established client working within the haulage industry are looking to onboard a Transport Plannerto join their already flourishing team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well renowned organisation and be part of a rapidly growing business where hard work and dedication is rewarded. Responsibilities:

  • Assign drivers to correct routes on PAD system
  • Source and book drivers from preferred subcontractors ensuring vehicles are utilised fully
  • Produce an effective plan to cover all loads and ensure vehicles are being maximised
  • Source backloads from subcontractors
  • Daily communication with drivers over text or phone to ensure they are aware of delivery plan
  • Maintain subcontractor rates and confirm correct rates on TMS
  • Liaising with customers and updating them on delivery status
  • Plan accordingly following on from night shift handover
  • Ensure KPI's and targets are hit
  • Be the point of contact for breakdowns and other driver issues

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working within a similar role or company
  • The ability to work well alone as well as within a team
  • A proactive approach to work and have the ability to think on their feet
  • Company pension
