Overview

Transport & Logistics Planner – Location: Leicester – Salary: £36,940 + Bonus – Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

About the role

We're supporting a growing logistics business in their search for a Transport & Logistics Planner to join their dynamic team. This is a critical role focused on developing and maintaining subcontractor relationships, managing imports/exports, and ensuring efficient load planning across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow subcontractor and customer relationships
  • Ensure all exports/imports are compliant with relevant codes and paperwork
  • Allocate and schedule loads daily to achieve best possible margins
  • Maintain accurate records within the Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Monitor and report on delivery performance, flagging any delays
  • Identify and onboard new subcontractors and customers
  • Analyse and negotiate market rates with hauliers
  • Work to operational KPIs and contribute to business growth
What We're Looking For
  • Proven background in Transport & Logistics Planning
  • Knowledge of European subcontracting, customs documentation, and import/export processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
