The role

In this role, you'll plan driver and vehicle schedules, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and customer load plans. You'll brief drivers clearly, monitor OTIF performance, and resolve any delivery issues with customers. Maintaining fleet records, overseeing maintenance schedules, and keeping transport data accurate will be key. You'll also support efficiency by sourcing third-party work and contributing to continuous improvement across planning and admin.

About you

  • Proven experience in transport planning (pallet network experience is a must)
  • Strong IT skills - especially Outlook and Excel
  • A solid understanding of UK transport regulations and legal compliance
  • A flexible, can-do approach with strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in customer service roles (preferred)
  • National or International CPC (non-essential)
  • LGV Class 1 & DCPC (desirable, for occasional relief driving)
