12-hour shifts | 4 on / 4 off

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Planner to join a dedicated team operating within a high-performance, fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan efficient, cost-effective delivery routes for a large fleet
  • Ensure compliance with UK transport legislation and internal policies
  • Collaborate with operations and driver teams on rotas, absence, and communication
  • Maintain excellent customer service and resolve logistical issues
  • Monitor KPIs, reduce empty mileage, and optimise profitability
  • Build strong working plans from customer order data including load fill and pallet counts
  • Contribute to a safe, responsible workplace environment

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort with multiple IT systems
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced operation
  • Fluent English (verbal and written)

Desirable:

  • Experience in a Transport Planner or logistics operations role
  • Familiarity with transport software such as ESP, GTS, or similar systems
  • Knowledge of multi-site transport or high-volume delivery operations
