Transport Planner

Just Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a transport and logistics business based on the outskirts of Colchester - they are looking to add a Transport Planner to their existing team.

The successful Transport Planner will come from a planning background within the general haulage or pallet network industries and will have previous experience managing a fleet of Rigid / artic vehicles.

Duties include:

1. Routing of vehicles and covering deliveries across the UK.
2. Previous experience transport planning in a busy transport office.
3. Providing good communication with our Traffic office teams and Drivers to ensure customer KPI's and targets are achieved and maintained.
4. Using in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
5. Ensuring internal tracking systems are kept organised and updated.
6. Controlling and planning of resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers); ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU Drivers' Hours regulations).
7. Planning Rigid & artic work for the following day.
8. Warehouse checks.
9. CPC Holder an advantage, but not essential.
