Job description

Transport Planner Role - Paying up to £35k. You will work a set 8-5 shift. Post-probation, you will be able to work from home a couple of days a week.

Location

This Transport Planner role is commutable from Clowne, Maltby, Worksop, and North Anston areas.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Reactive planning for next day or same day route scheduling.
  2. Planning routes for all categories of vehicles, from Class 1 lorries to flatbeds, across multiple construction contracts.
  3. Liaising daily with sub-contractors, third-party transport firms, and agencies to secure additional drivers for bookings.
  4. Scheduling movements of plant hire equipment to high-priority contracts.
  5. Managing and coordinating drivers and fleet, including lorries, hiabs, trailers, and shunters.
  6. Route planning ensuring drivers' hours and WTD compliance, and analyzing tachograph, telematics, and smart reports to identify issues or trends.
Candidate Requirements

Previous experience as a Transport Controller, Transport Router, Logistics Coordinator, Transport Clerk, or Logistics Planner is required. Experience in construction, civils, or hire industries is advantageous.
