Transport Planner Position Overview

This role would be well suited to individuals with a background or keen interest in Planning, Logistics, or Transport Planning who are flexible, organized, and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and any possible delays.
  • Answer phone calls politely and promptly, taking orders, inquiries, and instructions from clients.
  • Liaise with the supply chain to ensure materials are in stock and ordered for upcoming deliveries.
  • Coordinate with the fleet and subcontractors to ensure all assigned orders are delivered as planned and on time, as directed by the Transport Planner.
  • Make regular calls to sites and customers to proactively gather information on forthcoming orders and requirements.
  • Provide drivers with essential routing information and site-specific instructions.
  • Re-route drivers as needed quickly and efficiently.
Transport Planner Position Requirements
  • Previous experience in Logistics, Transport, or Fleet Management.
  • Good geographical knowledge or experience in scheduling/route planning.
  • Full UK driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems and other office software.
Transport Planner Position Remuneration
  • Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm.
  • Salary: £28,000 per annum.
  • Standard Pension scheme.
