We are recruiting for a Transport Planner for our site in Brighouse.

Dawsongroup emc is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire.

The Transport Planner will assist with all functions in the planning and logistics of transport movements, ensuring compliance while maximizing customer satisfaction and financial performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the transport schedule, maximizing double runs, and utilizing available vehicles and personnel
• Receiving site surveys in advance for each delivery and reviewing them for hazards
• Hiring equipment in advance of jobs
• Preparing movement orders
• Preparing drivers for upcoming jobs
• Booking subcontract transport, cranes, FLTs, etc.
• Maintaining the AS400 transport spreadsheet
• Completing driver payroll details, allowances, and expenses
• Informing senior management of delays or issues
