Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Transport Planner for our site in Brighouse.

Dawsongroup emc is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire.

The aim of the Transport Planner will be to assist with all functions in the planning and logistics of the transport movements carried out, ensuring compliance while maximising customer satisfaction and financial performance.

As the Transport Planner, you will be responsible for:

1. Maintaining the transport schedule, maximising on double runs and utilising vehicles and personnel available.
2. Ensuring site surveys are received in advance for each planned delivery and reviewing the surveys for potential hazards.
3. Ensuring any equipment required is hired in advance of the job being done.
4. Preparing movement orders.
5. Preparing drivers for upcoming jobs.
6. Booking subcontract transport, cranes, FLTs, etc.
7. Maintaining the AS400 transport spreadsheet.
8. Completing driver payroll details, allowances, expenses, etc.
9. Informing senior management of delays or issues.

The successful Transport Planner will hold:

1. Experience working in a transport environment.
