Transport Planner Role

As a Transport Planner, you will play a central role in creating effective transport plans for our customers within the wider Stobart network, while ensuring compliance with legal responsibilities.

Shift:

4 on 4 off days.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and plan drivers effectively through ongoing communication and using our state-of-the-art transport software.
2. Control and plan resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers), ensuring adherence to legal requirements (Working Time Directive and EU drivers’ hours regulations).
3. Complete daily plans in real-time, managing resources efficiently to maximize utilization and minimize costs.
4. Keep internal tracking systems organized and up-to-date.
5. Utilize in-house planning tools to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
6. Achieve key performance targets related to fleet safety and efficiency, including utilization and costing.
7. Communicate regularly with customer service teams and drivers to meet KPIs and targets.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues.
• Organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines in a pressurized environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
