Overview

Transport Planner

£30,000 - £33,000 + Progression + Holidays + Pension

Ballymena

Do you have previous experience in Groupage Planning? Are you looking for a new opportunity with career progression in mind?

Joining a collaborative team environment, you will be part of an efficient transport operation dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and delivering the best customer service possible.

As a Transport Planner you will be planning a daily groupage service with a focus on ensuring customers are serviced in the most efficient manner whilst adhering to service level agreements. This is a fast-paced role with multiple collections/deliveries to oversee and a solid customer base to look after.

If you enjoy a challenge and have a good understanding of EU Tachograph Regulations, WTD and excel in a constantly challenging environment, this is a great opportunity to join a growing transport firm, that will develop their staff into progressive opportunities moving forward.

The Role

• Plan daily work schedule and routing for drivers
• Accommodate additional customer orders efficiently daily
• Ensure that the performance of drivers is effectively managed and excellence is recognised
• Manage Driver & Vehicle scheduling
• Ensure activities within operations are carried out with the highest regard and in accordance with legal, environmental and company policies
• Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm

You will need

• Transport Planning Experience
• Knowledge of EU Tachograph Laws & WTD
• Excellent customer service skills to deal with customers, drivers and third parties.
• Excellent communicator and can work in a fast-paced environment
• Good geographical knowledge
• Groupage experience would be beneficial
