Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking a Transport Operator for our Panatonni site in Northampton (NN7 4DE). You will help ensure smooth transportation of orders by coordinating deliveries and collections, and by communicating with drivers and the Transport Supervisor.

This permanent, full-time role involves coordinating deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and supporting KPI monitoring and audits. Strong route planning and excellent customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Transport Operator role.
• Route planning experience.
• Understanding of transport procedures including WTD and EU Driver regulations.
• Understanding of fleet management, including maintenance and servicing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deliveries and collections from the Grange Park site.
• Liaise with drivers to ensure requests are fulfilled.
• Conduct driver pre-briefs and debriefs; record abnormalities and update paperwork.
• Ensure adherence to health & safety and transport procedures; support audits and KPI monitoring.

We are now looking for a Transport Operator to join our team on our Panatonni (NN7 4DE) site on a permanent, full-time basis, working rotating shifts. The shift pattern for this role is 1pm-9:30pm

The Role

As a Transport Operator, you will support the smooth transportation of orders to customers by co-ordinating deliveries and collections from our Grange Park site.

Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, you will co-ordinate customer deliveries and meet their requests, liaising promptly and efficiently with drivers to ensure they are fulfilled.

You will also perform driver pre-briefs and debriefs, recording all abnormalities and updating paperwork, ensuring that any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager.

Additionally, you will:

• Ensure all health and safety and transport mandatory procedures are adhered to
• Actively support in audit work and KPI monitoring

About You

To be considered as a Transport Operator, you will need:

• Experience in a Transport Operator role
• Route planning experience
• An understanding of transport procedures including WTD and EU Driver regulations
• An understanding of fleet management, including maintenance and servicing
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
