Job summary

Pertemps Plymouth is seeking an experienced Team Leader for our busy transport and operational support team. You will supervise drivers and crew, coordinate daily activities from 6:00am, and ensure smooth service throughout shifts.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to allocate workloads and provide end-of-shift debriefs. The position is a temporary contract, with up to 12 weeks and a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of drivers and crew
• Strong supervisory and communication skills
• Able to coordinate shift start times and workloads

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of drivers and operational crew members
• Issue vehicle keys and allocate work each morning from 6:00am
• Communicate daily instructions and operational updates
• Ensure drivers and crews have the information required to complete their routes
• Carry out driver debriefs at the end of each shift
• Monitor attendance and daily staffing requirements
