Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd invites applications for an experienced Team Manager in our Transport operation. You will support the Operations Manager in organizing efficient depot operations and lead a diverse team to meet safety and performance targets.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a friendly, inclusive environment. 40 hours per week, permanent contract, with salary up to £37,128 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Good level of Maths and English and working knowledge of Microsoft programmes- Word and Excel is desirable
• Warehousing experience essential
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Strong organisation and time management skills essential
• Ability to deal with conflict in an effective and professional manner
• Shows a commitment to ongoing personal development and training, always striving to improve

Responsibilities

• To support the Operations Manager with the supervision of effective operations and adherence to H&S legislation
• To carry out supervisory tasks as required by the Operations Manager
• To cover areas of operations when low on resources as requested by the Operations Manager to ensuring consistent operational performance
• To ensure effective operations in the temporary absence of the Operations Manager
• The assist with staff scheduling, including absence management and performance
• To assist the Operations Manager in the effective use and maintenance of all equipment and machinery
