Transport Operations Manager

My client based in Thame is looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to oversee daily transport and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of vehicle routing, and a hands-on approach to managing fleet and driver performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and optimise daily vehicle routing and scheduling.
  2. Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and legal requirements.
  3. Supervise and support the transport team, including drivers and warehouse staff.
  4. Monitor fleet performance, maintenance, and cost efficiency.
  5. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements:
  1. Valid transport manager CPC.
  2. HGV Licence.
  3. Forklift licence.
  4. Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within transport/logistics.
  5. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  6. Knowledge of route planning and transport compliance.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 45 hours per week, 08.00 - 18.00 (hours may vary depending on routing requirements). Salary is £30,000 - £36,000 depending on experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next steps in their transport career.
