Job summary

Culina Group Limited is seeking a Transport Operations Manager for its Contract Logistics division. You will lead the 24/7 transport operations, control costs against budgets, and develop a team through training and personal development plans. Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:00–16:00.

You will manage traffic plans, liaise with third party hauliers, and drive continuous improvement across the transport function. Experience in FMCG transport and CPC qualification are desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in a busy transport environment, ideally FMCG.
• Leadership and motivational qualities with experience building a team.
• Strong planning and numeracy with good commercial transport knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage your team to execute traffic plans ensuring on-time product delivery within service levels.
• Reduce non-contract maintenance and damage through daily spend confirmation.
• Ensure fleet is on the road and declared to aid planning.
• Motivate and develop the transport team and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Communicate with third party hauliers and manage defects on drop trailers.
• Review maintenance cost reports and related invoices.
• Meet daily, weekly and monthly compliance milestones and participate in reviews.
• Monitor suppliers and drive service improvements with customers and internal teams.
• Generate ideas for staff and operational improvements.
