Transport Officer needed in Truro

The rate is £19.67 per hour (PAYE).

This is a temporary position.

Managing the eligibility, arrangements, and monitoring of specialist School and Social Care Transport accounts constitutes over 60% of the work of the TCS. This involves travel arrangements for children, young people, and older adults across a wide spectrum. Transport is provided for over 13,000 children and young people, including up to 2,000 Post-16 students, as well as over 1,000 children with Special Educational Needs. Transport is also provided for up to 1,500 social care service users daily.

The role holder will be responsible for managing transport within a designated geographical area of the county, arranging economical and efficient day-to-day passenger transport for children, Post-16 students, and adults. The role involves liaising directly with transport users and carers regarding travel options.
